AMD @ Fan Expo 2023

At Fan Expo Canada 2023, AMD held two large activation spaces on the showroom floor through a partnership with Quest to Conquer Cancer; a Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation initiative. AMD was focused on giving back to the community by running product giveaways, raffles, VR demos and a freeplay area, all to raise money for charity.

As the project manager for production on this activation, I was responsible for all pre-production work to get the space up and running. This included leading meetings for design, production scheduling, gear procurement, staffing and networking.

My Responsibilities

  • Developed project plans for AMD's production logistics at Fan Expo, outlining timelines, milestones, and key deliverables.

  • Collaborated with production partners, AMD representatives, and Fan Expo organizers to align objectives and deliverables, ensuring a cohesive and well-coordinated activation.

  • Addressed on-site challenges promptly, implementing effective solutions for unforeseen developments for AMD and its visitors.

  • Ensured the project’s compliance with event regulations, safety protocols, and client standards, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for event patrons.

  • Conducted a comprehensive post-mortem meeting, which included gathering feedback and identifying areas for improvement to improve future AMD activations for the following year.
